Iran/Nuclear
Interview given by Philippe Douste-Blazy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to "France Info",(excerpts). Paris, February 13, 2006 Q. – Last month, Tehran announced that it was resuming research on enrichment at its Natanz pilot plant, despite the injunctions of the IAEA and the international community. (…)
THE MINISTER – I regret the attitude of Iran who is persisting in her intention of resuming her enrichment activities, particularly at the Natanz plant. I think the exact opposite should have been done. Iran had to grasp this opportunity to suspend her dangerous nuclear activities, as the International Atomic Energy Agency is asking her to do, and this suspension is totally necessary to allow the resumption of the negotiations./.
