France/United States/death of Rosa Parks

Statements made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson

Paris, October 25, 2005

Q - Do you have any comment on the death of Rosa Parks in the United States?

– I’d simply like to pay tribute to someone who was very much engaged in the struggle for equality among all American citizens. It’s a struggle to which we cannot be insensitive. It concerns the United States, but also all other countries in the world, mankind as a whole. We must pay tribute to her memory.
