President Saca,

All over the world, there is a deep sense of shock at the cataclysmic destruction being wreaked in Central America, and El Salvador in particular.

At this difficult time, I want to express to you my wholehearted solidarity and extend my most sincere condolences to the bereaved.

I have ensured, under the arrangement we agreed on during your visit in June this year, the transfer of $1 million to the El Salvador Emergency Fund in order to help those people in dire need.
