Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic following the attack against a mosque and a prayer hall in Annecy and Seynod (Haute Savoie)

President Chirac was extremely shocked to learn of the attacks against a mosque and a prayer hall in Annecy and Seynod.

Without prejudging the results of the ongoing investigation, he utterly condemns the odious acts. He expresses his sympathy and solidarity with all France's Muslims and assures them of the public authorities' determination to find and punish the perpetrators of these attacks./.
