Death of Mrs Anna Lindh: Statement by the Spokesperson of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The French authorities are deeply shocked and very greatly saddened by the news of the death of Mrs Anna Lindh, Foreign Minister of Sweden, following an attack on her. France pays tribute to Mrs Lindh's European commitment and her determined action at the head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

In these painful circumstances, the French authorities extend their most sincere condolences to His Majesty, The King of Sweden and the Swedish government. They express to Mrs Lindh's family their deepest sympathy at her death and assure the Swedish people of their full solidarity in this ordeal./.
