Communiqué issued by the Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Industry.
Paris, June 30, 2003
On June 26, 2003, the United Nations Security Council Iraq Sanctions Committee placed 55 senior officials of the former Iraqi regime on the list of individuals and entities whose assets have to be frozen pursuant to UNSCR 1483. France immediately honoured her international commitments by adopting that same day a decree permitting the freezing of the funds and other financial assets of the fifty-five individuals./.
