The Trade Advisors
French Customs has set up a network of Trade Advisors. Their responsibility is to provide you with free and customized advice.
French Customs is very much aware that you are not only looking for an expeditious clearance of your goods and for their prompt release, but also for more security and a greater reliability in an environment of ever more complex rules and regulations.
Once he has carried out a careful analysis of the trade operations of your firm, the Trade Advisor will proceed with a "Customs Diagnostic", before coming forward with proposals on the customs procedures best adapted to your activities and to your organization. He will provide you with information on a wide range of possible solutions and will help you with the implementation of those that you will have selected. If you trade in tobacco or alcoholic products, he will also advise you on applicable domestic laws and regulations as well as on the specific requirements under EU legislation for intra-EC trade.
The Trade Advisor may also liaise, on your behalf, with other agencies also responsible for international trade.
